7 Day Trip - Casablanca to Imperial Cities and Sahara Desert
Day 1: Casablanca to Chefchaouen
Pickup from your accommodation at 8 am, drive north to visit Morocco’s capital Rabat and take in the main sights with professional licensed Tour Guide. After lunch in a local Moroccan restaurant, the trip continues north through the Rif Mountains to the unique Blue City of Chefchaouen where you will settle for the night.
Day 2: Chefchaouen to Fes
The morning will be for exploring the Blue City’s kasbah and main square, old markets, monuments and unique medina, then travel south to the Imperial City of Fes, Morocco’s cultural capital. Overnight accommodation will be in a riad in the old Medina of Fes.
Day 3: Fes
A professional licensed guide will explain and show the many sights of this Imperial City including the tanneries, the souks, the Royal Palace and the University of Al Quaraouiyine, the oldest university in the world.
Day 4: Fes to Merzouga Desert
Travel south through the Cedar forest with its native monkeys. After lunch in Middelt, Morocco’s apple capital, the drive will continue by the Middle Atlas Tizi n' Tlghmt pass and the Ziz Valley with its Palm groves and Gorges. There will be a stop in Arfoud, famous for its fossils. Then a camel ride to the Sahara Desert Merzouga sand dunes camp, enjoy Berber hospitality around a campfire before settling in your tent.
Day 5: Merzouga Desert to Dades Gorges
After a morning camel ride, drive to the Berber village of Rissani and visit the Todgha Gorges. Lunch will be at a local restaurant with panamoric view of Todgha Valley. After exploring the Valley and oasis, accommodation will be in Dades Gorges.
Day 6: Dades Gorges to Marrakesh
The morning will include exploring the Rose Valley, visiting a rose water distillery, then onto the Skoura oasis to visit the exquisitely restored Amridil Kasbah. Following this you travel north to visit the UNESCO protected Ait Ben Haddo Kasbah, stop for lunch and follow the ancient caravan route from Timbuktu to Kasbah Telouet. Afterwards travel through the High Atlas mountains to Marrakesh.
Day 7: Marrakesh to Casablanca
A professional licensed guide will show and explain the historical monuments in the ancient medina, souks, Bahia palace, the Saadian Tombs, Marjorelle Gardens and the main square of Jamaa Lfna. Lunch will be in the medina followed by the drive to Casablanca.
