4 Day Trip - Chechaouen, Meknes and Fes
Day 1: Casablanca to Chefchaouen
Pickup from your accommodation at 8 am, drive north to visit Morocco’s capital Rabat and take in the main sights with professional licensed Tour Guide. After lunch in a local Moroccan restaurant, the trip continues north through the Rif Mountains to the unique Blue City of Chefchaouen where you will settle for the night.
Day 2 Chefchaouen to Meknes
The morning will be for exploring the Blue City’s kasbah and main square, old markets, monuments and unique medina, then travel south to the Roman City Volubilis. You will visit the partly excavated ancient capital of the Roman-Berber kingdom of Mauretania. Lunch will be in the area of Moulay Idris Zerhoun’s village, then onto the former Imperial city of Meknes for the evening.
Day 3 Meknes to Fes
The morning will provide opportunity to discover Meknes and its imperial past, including Bab Mansour, the mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Ismail who made the city his capital in 17th century and the ruined Heri es-Souani in the south of the city. Lunch will be in the ancient medina, then onto the Imperial City of Fes for the evening.
Day 4 Fes to Casablanca
In the morning, a professional licensed Tour Guide will show the many sights of Fes, including the tanneries, the souks, the Royal Palace and the University of Al Quaraouiyine, the oldest university in the world. Lunch will feature local Moroccan cuisine, then it’s a three hour drive to Casablanca.
